Shurtape Technologies, Wal-Mart celebrate partnership, American manufacturing in Hickory

Representatives from Walmart met with executives from Shurtape Technologies and its subsidiary ShurTech Brands on Tuesday to recognize the partnership between the two companies and their shared dedication to American manufacturing.

One of the latest examples of that strong relationship was Walmart’s decision to include ShurTech in Walmart’s commitment to invest $250 billion in American-made products by 2023.

An analysis based on information from the Boston Consulting Group estimates that the investment is expected to directly create about 250,000 jobs while also indirectly leading to the creation of an additional 750,000 jobs, according to a Shurtape press release.
